CompanyX launch new web analytics service

Many companies experience one of two common problem with their websites. Either they are not getting enough traffic via the search engines or once visitors are there they leave after one or two clicks, often seemingly without reason.

To address this, CompanyX are now offering a consultation service advising clients on how to make their websites function more effectively. Features include; a full report of website activity, location breakdown of audience, whether they're a new or previous visitor, average time spent in site, most and least successful pages and visits that lead to a purchase if appropriate.

Part of the consultation also includes recommendations about web design, search engine optimisation and different internet advertising strategies.

CompanyX launch new website

CompanyX launch new website
After a couple of months tweaking, fiddling and testing, our website is finally 'ready' for public consumption. Having said that, websites are never really finished as their demand for new content and functionality is never ending. With the best will in the world, some things are bound to have slipped through the net so if ouy see a glaring typo (just testing) or if a link isn't working or goes somwhere weird please let us know. Apart from showing off the work, one of the areas we'd really like to develop is the CompanyX 'on the board' area. Check it out and if you can contribute, drop us a line.

CompanyX are going to save a tonne this year

CompanyX are going to save a tonne this year
To continue with our target of living and working a bit more sustainably, CompanyX have been cycling in to work (as much as possible) since April. Our target is to save a tonne of CO2 emissions in a year. We've calculated our consumption based on each persons car and the distance travelled from each house. Our calculations were formulated by going to http://www.dft.gov.uk/ActOnCO2/

If you want to do something similar and get a cracking pair of calf muscles thrown into the bargain, get on your bike and take your car off the road, even if it's just for a day a month! If you want to find out more go to http://www.forestofavon.org/climateactive.html or for the best cycle route http://www.sustrans.org.uk/

If you want to see how much we've saved so far please go here.

Be Climate Active! – take local action on climate change.

Be Climate Active! – take local action on climate change.

We all like to think that we make a difference when it comes to climate change. But let's face facts - couldn't we all do a bit more?! The irony is it doesn't take much effort to make a real difference. CompanyX are trying to put this into practice by either cycling to work wherever possible, fitting low energy light bulbs, not having computers on stand-by or taking the train to meetings and encouraging conference calls.

We also are part of a tree planting scheme where to date we have planted over 200 trees in the Somerset area with the help of Forest of Avon. See the ForestX for more details.

We are also proud to have been asked by the Forest of Avon to design a postcard campaign promoting their Climate Active and the Dedicate a Tree initiatives.

New advertising campaign for Fleet Air Arm Museum

New advertising campaign for Fleet Air Arm Museum

Chopper boy as he is affectionately known in the office, takes centre stage in the new Fleet Air Arm Bus back advertising campaign. Due to be driving around the streets of Somerset in March 08, it heralds the beginning of the new 'Fantastic Fleet Air Arm' 2008/2009 campaign created by CompanyX. CompanyX Director, David Martin said "having visited the museum on numerous occasions, what struck us was that you're constantly overhearing positive comments from excited visitors, especially kids. There really is a WOW factor - especially as most of the exhibits you can actually get into. It was this ability to put yourself in the position of the pilot that inspired the idea of Chopper Boy".

Jon Jefferies, Marketing Director at the museum commented "I think the bus back looks really exciting and reflects the brief and brand footprint very well. I am absolutely delighted".

CompanyX launch new Sugatsune website
High specification Japanese hardware company, Sugatsune approached CompanyX to design and develop a fully integrated ecommerce website. The approach came as the result of a recommendation from Bristol based company Pattersons who CompanyX had completed a similar project for. After 6 months of development, the new Sugatsune website has now been launched streamlining the ordering process of over 6,000 products. This website has been developed alongside OGL's Computers stock managment system, Profit+.

Sugatsune were looking for a website that would link in to the exisiting Profit+ database, eliminating the need for duplication of complex product information. The website also includes a stock level system and imports orders directly into Profit+.
